Abstract

Over the years, the focus in education has been on cognitive intelligence. This study was conducted to examine refocussing of emotional intelligence for enhanced academic performance of students in Business education. This study used a survey research design. The study was conducted in the Department of Business Education, College of Education, Afaha Nsit. The respondents were NCE 1, 2 and 3 students as well as Degree 1, 2, 3 and 4 students of 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions. Simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 100 students for the study.
